From the official nook of the Queen of #sabsuniverse

Thanks for dropping by here in #sabsuniverse. Thought I’d give you a peek on who is the person who tinkers away on the keyboard to post the stuff you read here. This page is dedicated to me, myself and I. Bit narcissistic but hey, it’s my blog anyway so I guess it’s just fitting that I dedicate at least a page for moi.

I’ve tried countless times to keep a blog that I can really call mine. The moment we had Internet connection at home (I’m what you’d call a late bloomer in technology but I can fairly say I hold my own now in this field–at least for personal techie stuff) I’ve browsed dozens of blogs. I’ve seen blogs dedicated to fashion, food, cosmetics, etc. Looking back, the information overload might’ve overwhelmed me. Almost all the blogs I ran across have more than a hundred followers. They regularly update their posts in two weeks (sometimes even less than that) and all have cool names. In my eyes I just can’t achieve that level of coolness; hence, the need to scrap every blog I tried to start in the past.

Blame it on the age or maybe all the coffee and tea that I’ve been drinking but when I decided to keep a blog FOR GOOD this 2014, everything just clicked into place. I know I can’t go by the usual themes of fashion, food or cosmetics but I can make my blog sort of a personal journal. Yep, no need for a uniform category, no need to drain my creative juices stressing what type of post I should make. If you look back on my earlier posts, it’s a mix of reviews on places I’ve been sharing my experience, how-tos especially on documents needed from different government agencies, personal rants and raves and some random sharing. As for the cool name, since I am going on a narcissistic streak here, might as well own it through and through. #sabsuniverse has a nice ring to it and basically represents that majority, if not all, of my posts are in MY own universe, all connected to me in a way. I like to think I write better if the topic has a personal connection to me. Expect the same pool of themes on my future posts.

Who am I?

She’s that young woman who cannot see without her glasses, needs to have books to read with her and coffee or tea to go with her cakes.

I am a young mom of four cherubs, happily married to my high school sweetheart and somewhere in my 20s. (For now–eep!) I love sharing my experiences but I like to fool myself that I still have a cloak of anonymity even though my blog can be a bit of a tell all sometimes. I have a career, I maintain our household, I blog whenever I can sneak some much needed quality time. I love books, coffee, tea and cakes to death. I can be temperamental, can be sensitive at times, can be ecstatic one moment then depressed the next. I don’t think I’m bipolar–I just think I’m growing old and my mind’s struggling to process everything in my life.

I think that’s all for now. It’s hard to capture one’s personality through a simple entry so maybe my posts will do the talking for me. I’d love to hear back from you! Feel free to share awesome thoughts in the comment box.
